Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Frosty the Snowman (sheet)
– try using a simplified pattern in your Left Hand for the Boogie Woogie
> in quarter notes play – CG-CA-CG-CA
– check how the Left Hand quarter notes line up
– bar 23 – for your Left Hand try:
1. staying on AE for the A- chord
or 2. playing the Boogie Woogie pattern up to AF
or 3. ignoring the D and staying in A for the whole bar
or 4. ignoring the A and staying in D for the whole bar
Home
– awesome improvement on the first 2 bars!
– bar 2, make sure to play the upper “E” in your Left Hand
– refine the timing for Bar 2
> the second “E” in your Left Hand plays closely after your Right Hand playing GD
> the F-sharp in your Right Hand plays closely after the D octave in your Left Hand
– try adding pedal to the sections you are confident in playing
– watch how your hands line up in bar 3 – Right Hand plays EC together with your Left Hand’s low C
– try to play beat 4 (the sixteenth notes) without pausing beforehand
– bar 4 – its up to you if you’d like to play the “G” in your Right Hand
– continue learning to the end of the page
– check how the notes line up between your Right Hand and Left Hand in bar 5
– watch that your Left Hand reaches pretty far up with your thumb
> if the stretch hurts your hand or arm, stop and take a break – either skip the note, play an octave instead or lift your hand up instead of pivoting
– the notation for bar 6 appears glitched, note these adjustments:
> play the first E in your Right Hand (the first note of the sixteenth note group) at the same time as the G in your Left Hand
> the D in your Right Hand plays a split second before the E
