– nice work on your Right Hand!
– make sure to maintain the swing rhythm in your Left Hand
– check fingering for your Left Hand – be careful not to twist your hand around so much
Triads
– awesome work!
– try playing broken triads lightly and gently
– great work finding an alternate fingering for your Right Hand!
– for solid, practice lifting your Hands in between inversions
Away in a Manger
– nice work on Right Hand!
– try to add more louds and softs
– work on finding Left Hand notes
> make sure to write down the notes that you like the sound of
A Thousand Years
– excellent start!
– work on playing with a steady rhythm with no pauses on the first page
– continue to work on the second page
– be careful with the Left Hand stretch on bar 65
> do the finger stretch exercise on the keys for your thumb and 5th finger, and thumb and 4th finger
> if you feel any discomfort or pain in your hand or arm when playing bar 65 – stop, rest your arm and don’t play the notes solid (all together)
– check notes for bar 43 and 96 in your Right Hand
> watch which note plays on the bottom and which note plays on top
– bar 49 – play the eight notes faster (G to E)
