December 17, 2021– try to play more legato (make the scales sound more melodic)
– work on B+, b- and c#-
– add crescendo up and decrescendo down
– good work on formula patterns!
Diminished 7th chords
– good work!
– for solid, make sure the notes play and sound exactly together
– try to increase the speed to check proficiency
– try to keep your wrists relaxed as you play
> cushion with your wrists on solid
> don’t lock your wrists on broken
Work on tonic chords and tonic and dominant/diminished 7th arpeggios
Rule for dominant/diminished(leading-tone) 7th’s fingering
> RH thumb plays the first available white key
> LH thumb plays the last available white key
Chording and fills
– during music breaks, try letting your RH play single notes in a scale type pattern
> just let your fingers get used to playing something during those intervals
> work on getting into the fill and out of it, continuing the song without pause
