The Kentucky Derby
– bar 2 – check your Left Hand notes
– bar 4 – drill the F-sharp,C,D note change
– practice counting out loud

Sleigh Ride Holiday
– practice slowly
– count the quarter notes in bar 2 and 10
– check the fingering for the start of bar 2 – think “third fingers”
– practice slowly to make sure there are no pauses

> check your Right Hand fingering – use the same fingers from the Eb-G for the Eb-G-Bb triad
> aim/prepare your fingers to play the last notes on time without pausing
– start working on the next four bars
> practice slowly, Hands Separately
> make sure to relax your hands between octaves (let them close in to a neutral hand position)
> add the Left Hand once your Right Hand can play comfortably without pausing
