January 13 Lesson Notes

C-major scale
– try to play with a steady rhythm (all at the same speed)
– practice Hands Together for 1 octave
– practice Hands Separately for 2 octaves

Relay Race
– practice slowly
– check the notes where your hands play together
– focus on practicing the first line Hands Together
– try to work on the second line Hands Separately

Sunset
– make sure to play “A” in your Right Hand
– work on playing with no pauses
– remember when naming notes, look at the dot and don’t worry about which direction the stem (line) points
– add louds and softs
