Scales (circle of 5ths up to Db-major)

– work on the fingering for Db-major

C-major triad
– practice in 2 beats
Beat 1 – set fingers on the correct notes
Beat 2 – play

12 bar blues
– nice work!
– remember to stretch your 2nd finger in your Left Hand
– try playing your Right Hand triad
1. on every note of the Left Hand
2. in between the Left Hand using the swing rhythm
– try to improvise Right Hand rhythms on or off the beat

Minuet in G major
– work on memorizing the first line
– detach notes
– drill bars 7 and 8

Gnossienne #3
– continue to work on the first line
– try Hands Together
– use an arc motion with your wrist in the Left Hand when jumping from the low note to the triad
– straighten your fingers and use a “petting” or “paintbrush” motion to play the Left Hand keys
