– check your fingering in your Left Hand
– for your Left Hand, start playing with your 5th finger on the bass C and play up then down
> play your Left Hand scale 5 times in a row
> make sure to play your Left Hand both directions (up and down)
– try to keep your hand and arms relaxed as you play
– work on playing the scales gently, softly and relaxed
– practice Hands Separately for 2 octaves
> Right Hand fingering
1-2-3-1-2-3-4-1-2-3-1-2-3-4-5
> Left Hand fingering
5-4-3-2-1-3-2-1-4-3-2-1-3-2-1
– practice Hands Together for 1 octave
> play in the same direction (hands move parallel to each other)
Continue to practice (same as last lesson)
– feel free to try out more songs in your book

– try playing the songs faster to increase the difficulty
– after learning the notes, focus on “recovery” – keeping a steady beat while you play and not pausing on errors
– practice counting out loud
– check page 9 for reference (skips and steps)
– practice from page 12 – 16
