November 23 Lesson Notes

Minuet in G major
– bar 9 – 16
> drill two bars at a time
> aim to play 5 – 10 times correctly per round
– bar 10 – be careful not to reverse the notes in your Left Hand
– bar 13 -14
> use the 5th finger in your Left Hand to play the F# and G
– bar 15 – make sure to use the 2nd finger in your Left Hand
– try to maintain memory for the first two lines throughout the week
– remember, some sections might need to be “tuned up” again if glitches reappear
> simply drill the bar, or two bars to fix them up again

Jingle Bells (other idioms)
– work on each hand separately until your hands learn the note patterns
– focus on practicing the first line, try out the second if you have time
